Darryl and Dianna Hyland took ownership of Collins Jewellers in February 2019.
Since taking ownership of Collins Jewellers in 2019, Darryl and Di Hyland have continued a tradition of exceptional craftmanship, quality and personalised service.
Born and raised in Tasmania, Darryl and Di spent many years living in Melbourne, where they raised their family. In 2019, they returned home to Hobart to begin a new chapter, taking over Collins Jewellers and continuing their passion for creating bespoke jewellery, restoring treasured heirlooms and sentimental pieces and providing personalised service to every client.
For Darryl, jewellery has always been more than a career, it’s a family tradition. As a third-generation jeweller, he grew up surrounded by the craft watching generations before him dedicate their lives to creating and repairing beautiful pieces. His grandfather, Edgar Hyland, owned Edgar Hyland watchmaker & Jewellers in Moonah, while his father, Keith, completed his apprenticeship at flints, one of Hobarts oldest jewellery stores, before continuing his career as a jeweller. Inspired by this family heritage, Darryl followed in their footsteps, continuing the tradition with more than 40 years of experience in the jewellery industry.
